XC Preview: 2024 NCAA Championships

MADISON, Wis. – The 22nd-ranked Lady Vols and Christopher Middleton-Pearson are set to race on Saturday at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Madison. It marks the first time since 2005-06 that the women’s team has made consecutive trips to the national meet.

The women’s 6K race gets underway at 10:20 am ET, followed by the men’s 10K at 11:10 am For real-time results, fans can rely on PTTiming, accessible HERE. ESPNU will broadcast the race nationally with coverage beginning at 9:30 am Coverage of the race can be found at this LINK.

The Lady Vols earned an at-large bid to the national showcase after placing fourth last weekend at the NCAA South Regional. Middleton-Pearson clinched his spot at NCAAs after placing fourth overall at the region meet.

In her first season with the Vols, Middleton-Pearson will run in her first NCAA Cross Country Championship.

Jillian Candelino, Andie-Marie Jones, Ashley Jones, Caroline Lyerly, Rebecca O’Keefe, Summer Schuster, Jaci Sievers and Rachel Sutliff will run for the women.

A year ago, the Lady Vols finished sixth nationally with Candelino, Ashley JonesLyerly and Sutliff scoring for the women.

The NCAA Championships will close out the 2024 cross country season with Tennessee’s coaches and student-athletes turning their attention to the opening of the indoor track and field season.
