When is Andy Murray and Dan Evans’ next match at the Olympics?

Andy Murray’s hopes of becoming a three-time Olympic champion are still very much alive.

The Scot, having confirmed the games in Paris would be the last tournament of his career, sealed a place in the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles on Wednesday alongside Dan Evans.

Murray has a rich record in this competition. At London 2012, he beat Roger Federer to claim a gold medal in the Men’s singles, before then becoming the first tennis player in Olympic history to win two singles gold medals by beating Juan Martin del Potro at Rio 2016.

Injury has prevented Murray from having one last tilt at the singles competition, making the doubles campaign with Evans his final hope of signing his career with a gold.

When is Murray next in action?

The 37-year-old’s next match at the Olympics will be on Thursday, August 1.

The order of play is yet to be announced, meaning there is currently no official UK start time.

The Team GB duo will either play American duo Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul or Dutch pair Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojen, who face off at 3pm on Wednesday.

When are the medal matches?

Should Murray and Evans progress, they will be within touching distance of a medal.

The bronze medal match is currently scheduled for Friday, August 2.

However, Team GB’s focus will be on attempting to reach the gold medal match.

That’s penciled in for Saturday, August 3.
