Both men opened up a little more in the third, with Oezdemir throwing more low kicks and searching for a couple takedowns, while Ulberg stood his ground and traded a little more frequently than he did in the opening 10 minutes.

The judges were tasked with determining a victor, and when the scorecards were read aloud, it was Ulberg that emerged with a unanimous decision win. That’s now seven straight for “Black Jag,” who continues to move forward in the 205-pound weight class, and should find himself sharing the Octagon with another Top 10 opponent next time out.
