Revanth Working on Sending KTR to Jail: Bandi

HYDERABAD: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay claimed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy may initiate the process to arrest BRS working president KT Rama Rao in the near future as everyone was aware of the corruption and irregularities when the pink party was in power.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Sanjay said that the people have not forgotten how Rao had harassed party workers and put them and him (Sanjay) in jail.

Speaking about the failed poll promises of the Revanth Reddy government, Sanjay said that “war with the Congress party since the day Revanth loses the confidence of the people.”

Sanjay said that the BJP was in no way concerned with the Supreme Court giving bail to AAP leader Manish Sisodia. He also questioned how the BJP is related with the bail issue of BRS leader K. Kavitha. It is improper to connect the issues in courts with the BJP, he said.

On transfer of IAS officers, the Union minister said “many IAS officers who held key positions during the BRS rule are still holding the positions in the Congress government. Sincere and honest officers have been sidelined by the Revath Reddy government. There is no difference between the Congress and BRS”, he said

Referring to the upcoming local body elections, Sanjay said that the contest would be between the BJP and the Congress. The State government is not in a position to allocate funds for panchayats, which are running with the funds provided by the Centre. The voters in panchayats would definitely think about who was giving funds to them and vote accordingly, he said.

Claiming that the differences in the Congress have started coming to the fore, Bandi Sanjay said it is improper to say that Revanth Reddy is on a US tour for the sake of his brother. Criticism must have decency, he said. He also made it clear that the BJP is not interested in coming to power by splitting other parties.

On AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi’s hue and cry over the Wakf Amendment Bill, the Union minister asked the Hyderabad MP to tell how much Wakf lands have been given to poor Muslims. Many private lands are under the control of the Waqf Board. A complete probe is required into Waqf lands, which were encroached by Congress and MIM leaders, he said.

On the party’s state unit, he said that changing the state BJP president was the prerogative of the party high command.
