Bengaluru: Opposition and alliance parties-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal Secular (JDS) leaders on Saturday terminated the Congress State ruled Government as “corrupt” and vowed to rout the Congress party out of power in Karnataka.

BJP and JDS leaders addressed the gathering at the valedictory of BJP-JDS padayatra (foot march) from Bengaluru to Mysuru city seeking resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over alleged scams in plot distribution by Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and fraudulent transactions in Valmiki Corporation . The padayatra began on August 3 from Kengeri near Bengaluru city.

At his address, Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel and State president of JDS HD Kumaraswamy asked the State Government to mend their ways in coming days or else the Congress ruled State Government would be removed from power at the earliest. He has stated owing to the attitude of the State Government Toyota unit in Bidadi is shifting to Maharashtra.

I have suggested to the State Government to initiate talks with DMK government of Tamil Nadu over the proposed balancing reservoir across River Cauvery in Kanakapura and later he and Union Minister for Consumer Affairs Prahalad Joshi would take it up with the Union Government for clearance.

Questioning the contributions of Congress ruled State Government in Karnataka in the last 15 months of its rule, Kumaraswamy said “I can reveal hundreds of pages on illegalities and it will take hours and asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to speak on part 1 and part 2 of the Kempanna Commission report on Arkavathy layout in Bengaluru city.
