Man opens pack of Flaming Hot crisps and is horrified to find ‘monster’ inside

Many of us love grazing on snacks throughout the day – and reaching for a packet of crisps can really help to satisfy cravings.

Sadly though, we don’t always come away from our snacks feeling completely satisfied. And that was definitely the case for one unfortunate bloke.

He bought a pack of spicy crisps – but was left confused after finding a bizarre ‘monster’ in the bag. He then took to Reddit to upload a picture of the unique find.

Reddit users were dumbfounded at the weird looking item – as it seemed like the contents in the bag had formed into one giant ‘monster’.

On the post he wrote: “Bought a bag of flaming hot snacks and found this monster inside of the bag instead. Didn’t even have any of the actual Takis-shaped pieces in it either lol.”

Although he was confused as to what it was, one keen Redditor explained what it could be.

They wrote: “Hijacking the top comment for an explanation. Flavor is applied to many foods by gently tumbling or spraying flavor, sugar, and/ or vitamins on top of the base shape.

“The flavor builds up sometimes in the spraying or tumbling equipment. What you have is essentially a chunk of salty seasoning.”

Meanwhile, others chimed in with advice on how to deal with the mishap. One person said: “I mean damn crush it up, put it in a seasoning container and use it, it would probably be so good on mac and cheese or something.”

Another recalled a time when something similar happened, they said they had bought flamin’ hot mac and cheese “and the seasoning packet actually tasted exactly like what goes on the chips, so I saved it and put it on fries and stuff instead. It was well worth the blood pressure increase lol”.

Someone also suggested to break the block of seasoning into pieces and “stick it in the processor, spicy popcorn comes to mind. But you could put it on everything.”

The situation definitely reminds us of a popular catchphrase – when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
