Brace yourselves for the little furry blue ball of chaos that is Stitch in Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch remake.

While the big Walt Disney Pictures panel at the D23 fan event on Friday was devoid of much Lilo & Stitch news, it did showcase the first look at animation for the CGI-powered Stitch of the upcoming film, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp of Marcel the Shell With Shoes On fame.

The festivities, which included new looks at the live-action Snow White, Tron: Aresand Freaky Friday sequel Freakier Fridaywere interrupted by CGI Lilo jumping onto the screen at the convention center in Anaheim, Calif. That was the first glimpse of how the primarily live-action remake of the 2002 animated Disney classic will render the alien furball, which was then released to the general public on social media.
