Christine Lampard tells Loose Women co-star Linda Robson ‘don’t’ as she breaks rule live on Lorraine

Christine Lampard was left having to apologize on behalf of her Loose Women co-star after she broke a golden TV rule during their latest TV appearance together.

While they’re used to working alongside one another on the ITV lunchtime show, Linda actually joined Christine a little bit earlier in the day on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday (August 2) where she is filling in for the programme’s usual host Lorraine Kelly.

Among the topics up for discussion in their chat was Linda’s comment about her dream soap role. Christine remarked: “There’s one thing on the list and it’s EastEnders isn’t it?”

“Oh yeah, I did do one wartime one Sibby Street years ago. I played Lou Bill’s sister Flo Bill but I have hinted a few times that even a little cameo role or whatever,” Linda explained before adding: “But I’d love to play a real b***h!”

Christine started to laugh as Linda carried on with her answer, saying: “Or someone really nasty because I always get light parts.” But the host cut in to say: “You know it’s a funny thing because I thought, she knows it’s early morning, she’s not allowed to swear for me and you just let a little one slip so I’m sorry if no one likes that word. “

“What the B word?” Linda asked, seemingly confused, to which Christine reprimanded: “Don’t say any other words!” Linda replied: “I didn’t realize it was a bad word,” as Christine explained they often had to tell her not to swear on Loose Women, with Linda joking herself she has the ‘potty mouth’ on the talk show.

It comes after Linda addressed her co-star Ruth Langsford’s split with Eamonn Holmes. The presenter announced her split from the GB News host earlier this year in a joint statement after 14 years of marriage.

Ruth has maintained her silence since announcing the news, but her co-star Linda has spoken about how “sad” the split is “for both of them.” Speaking to OK! magazine at the National Reality TV Awards, she said Ruth is “keeping her spirits high.”

The Birds of a Feather actress said: “We’re staying out of it because it’s not our business, but we’re supporting her in any way we can and just keeping her happy. It’s sad for both of them but just keeping her spirits high.”
