One fan gushed: “Love Kris Marshall, what a great actor,” according to the Express. “Who’s that with Kris Marshall? Is that Archie?” another fan speculated.

While another expressed their anticipation: “I am over the moon and excited for the new season. I love Humphrey and I get so much enjoyment out of every episode.” Another eager fan said: “Absolutely can’t wait, know it will be brilliant.” Meanwhile, another fan wondered: “Archie can’t be coming back, can he?”

Long-time viewers might remember Archie (played by Jamie Bamber), known for causing a stir in the first series as Martha Lloyd’s (portrayed by Sally Bretton) former flame, who once threw a spanner in the works with an unexpected kiss aimed at her . Now, fans are buzzing with speculation: could Archie be set for a sensational comeback?

While the BBC has not released official details regarding the cast for the upcoming third series of Beyond Paradise or how the narrative will continue for Martha and Humphrey, expectations are high. Series two left audiences with quite the cliffhanger as Martha and Humphrey’s wedding plans were left hanging in the balance, and their journey to becoming foster parents culminated beautifully with the addition of Ryan to their household.

Tim Key, executive producer at Red Planet Pictures, expressed his enthusiasm for the new installations: “The response to series two has been fantastic. So much love goes into the making of the show and we’re delighted that the audience have enjoyed it so “very much.”

He went on to tease what’s next: “We can’t wait to return to Shipton Abbott for another Christmas special and series to continue the story and learn more about our characters and the town they live in – I can promise that we’ll be making the viewers laugh, cry, laugh a bit more and then baffling them with a series of ingenious puzzles. There will also be a duck.” For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
