Here are the results from Thursday’s WIAA sectional semifinal playoff matchups in girls volleyball and boys soccer:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Division 1

No. 2 Slinger def. No. 6 Oshkosh West, 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-15)

MANITOWOC — The No. 4-ranked Owls (30-1, 9-0 North Shore) swept the Wildcats in three sets, bringing their season to an end with a 19-7 (7-2 Fox Valley Association) overall record.

Division 3

No. 1 Laconia def. No. 1 Nekoosa, 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-15)

PORTAGE — The No. 5-ranked Spartans (27-2, 7-0 Flyway) earned a clean sweep to advance to a sectional final, Saturday, Nov. 2, where they will travel to Highland Center to take on fellow No. 1 seed, and top-ranked Aquinas (26-4, 11-1 Mississippi Valley).

WAUPUN — The No. 9-ranked Eagles (25-15, 4-3 Big East-Blue) outlasted the No. 10-ranked Crusaders in five sets, bringing their season to an end with a 22-9 (7-0 Trailways -East) overall record.

Division 3

No. 3 Ripon 3, No. 7 Kewaskum 0

RIPON — Carson Kaiser, Devin Donovan, and Zach Kelm each scored for the Tigers, with assists to Kaiser and Donovan.

Ripon goalkeeper Cody Kamin recorded two saves to earn the clean sheet.

Ripon (17-3, 4-2 East Central) advances to a sectional final, 1 pm Saturday at Plymouth High School, where they will take on No. 4 seed, No. 8-ranked Sheboygan Falls (14-4-2, 6-3-1 Big East/EWC), which upset top-seeded, No. 2-ranked Sheboygan Christian/Lutheran, 2-0, in Thursday’s sectional semifinal.

Division 4

No. 1 Kiel 3, No. 5 Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian 1

KIEL — The No. 2-ranked Raiders ended the Knights’ season with an 11-3-5 (6-0-3 Flyway) overall record.
