Mazatlán (Mexico), Nov 1 (EFE).- América beat Mazatlán 0-5 at home this Friday, moving up to sixth place and entering the play-off zone for a place in the final group of the Mexican Apertura tournament.

A double from Henry Martín and goals from the Uruguayans Rodrigo Aguirre and Brian Rodríguez, as well as from the Mexican Israel Reyes, sealed the victory for América, which recorded its fifth game without losing and reached 24 points on the fifteenth day, the penultimate of the regular phase.

Mazatán exhausted its chances of qualifying for the playoffs by remaining in fourteenth place with 13 points.
