Liv Morgan: I grew up a fan of Bret Hart

The Liv Morgan Revenge tour stops in Calgary on Monday, the hometown of Bret Hart.

The Women’s World Champion has been doing half rounds in the city to promote tonight’s Raw. She was a guest on Sportsnet Radio and was asked about Hart appearing on the show as well as the influence the Hart family has had on the wrestling industry.

“Calgary is so enriched in wrestling culture and wrestling history so I’m super excited to come back,” Morgan said.

“Bret Hart is super iconic in wrestling, in pop culture, in life. “I grew up a fan of Bret Hart, still a fan of Bret Hart, so I’m super excited to see him on Monday,” she continued.

“I’ve met him a couple of times. I loved his career, I’ve read his book, big fan of his book. I remember the whole time I was reading his book I just kept texting Nattie like ‘Oh my gosh, I ca n’t believe this,’” Morgan also said about Hart to Buzz Bishop.

Natalya is also expected to be on tonight’s Raw, although this has not been confirmed. Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega are announced to have a surprise partner in their match against the Pure Fusion Collective.

Morgan praised Natalya as well, saying she is a “great figure” for women in sports.

“Nattie’s so amazing. She’s such a locker room leader. She’s given so much to the wrestling community as far as her work with WWE and all that she does outside too. Her de ella and TJ run the Dungeon 2.0 where they are training and letting people practice all across different forms of wrestling from all over the world. I feel like she’s just such a great figure for wrestling and women’s wrestling and women in wrestling and women in sports in general.”

Morgan doesn’t have a segment advertised for tonight’s Raw, but she’ll likely be watching closely as Dominik Mysterio faces Dragon Lee in singles competition.

“This Monday is for sure going to be special and I’m very happy to be there. Calgary always brings the energy, so we’re excited for the next stop on the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour,” she told The Calgary Sun.
