The Cowboys have tied the game against the Sun Devils with a 3-yard pass from Alan Bowman to Brennan Presley.

Oklahoma State went 53 yards over six plays on the drive, gaining all of its yards on passing, with Bowman going 4-for-6.

Bowman connected for De’Zhaun Stribling on a 36-yard pass for the big damage on the drive.

Oklahoma State interestingly had a touchdown taken off the board after Prince Dorbah went to the turf beyond a play on the drive and the officials didn’t notice it until after the touchdown appeared to be scored, prompting outrage from Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy.

Score: Arizona State 7, Oklahoma State 7 (12:48 left in second quarter)

ASU couldn’t capitalize off the interception, with Sam Leavitt throwing an incomplete pass, Cam Skattebo rushing for three yards and Leavitt getting sacked for a 17-yard on the short drive.

Javan Robinson just intercepted Alan Bowman at the ASU 48, our first turnover of the game.

But what happened after the play was even more interesting.

ASU’s Justin Wodtly received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and was ejected from the game.

The reason, according to the referee? For spitting on a player.

Yes, spitting.

Wodtly was furious about the call, arguing his case to coach Kenny Dillingham. The FOX broadcast did not have video of the play.

The kicking woes continue for the Sun Devils. Parker Lewis just missed a 47-yard field goal attempt that was wide right, leaving ASU without any points on its second possession of the game.

It was the first field goal attempt for Lewis since Dec. 4, 2021, when he played at USC.

ASU’s drive went for 59 yards over 11 plays and took 5:14 off the clock. Jordyn Tyson couldn’t hold on to a pass on 3rd & 8 for ASU, forcing the field goal attempt.

The Sun Devil defense forced Oklahoma State to punt after a 7-play, 23-yard drive, playing tough defense after allowing two first downs.

The Cowboys only gained one yard on three rushing attempts on the drive, a good early sign for Arizona State.

Welcome back, Sam Leavitt.

The ASU QB just connected on a 22-yard pass to Jordyn Tyson to give the Sun Devils a 7-0 lead over Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Leavitt missed ASU’s most recent game, a loss to Cincinnati, two weeks ago with an injury.

He didn’t look rusty on the first drive, going 4-for-5 for 43 yards and the touchdown pass.

Cam Skattebo had a key 29-yard rush on 3rd & 1 at the ASU 48 for a first down on the drive.

ASU’s first drive went for 75 yards over eight plays. It took 3:39 off the clock.

Parker Lewis kicked the extra point for ASU, his first extra point kick of the season.

Score: Arizona State 7, Oklahoma State 0 (11:21 left in first quarter)

A lot is on the line in Stillwater in this game.

Oklahoma State is 0-5 in the Big 12 and is on a five-game losing streak. This is the Cowboys’ Homecoming game, so you know people are going to be fired up trying to see their team get a much-needed victory.

As for Arizona State, a win for the Sun Devils would be their sixth of the season. Why is that important?

They would become bowl eligible with the sixth win. That would be a huge accomplishment for a team that was picked to finish last in the Big 12 Conference this season and for a team that went 3-9 in each of the past two seasons.

Sam Leavitt is set to return at quarterback for ASU against Oklahoma State after missing the Sun Devils’ loss to Cincinnati with an injury he suffered against Utah.

Leavitt appeared good to go in warmups at Boone Pickens Stadium, according to The Arizona Republic’s Michelle Gardner.

He has completed 90-of-152 passes this season, with eight touchdown passes and four passes intercepted. He has also rushed 55 times for 279 yards and four touchdowns.

Three different kickers worked on field goal kicking this week for the Sun Devils, and coach Kenny Dillingham did not say which would get called upon if needed in today’s game.

ASU has missed three field goals and two extra points in the past four games. The field goal misses were from 38, 41 and 48 yards.

Will we see Ian Hershey, Carston Kieffer or Parker Lewis as the placekicker against the Cowboys? All three were out on the field in warm ups, according to The Arizona Republic’s Michelle Gardner.

There hasn’t been any rain yet in Stillwater for the game, but it is overcast at Boone Pickens Stadium.

The game was moved up from 4 pm MST to 12:30 pm MST because of expected inclement weather later in the day in Oklahoma.

Between six and eight inches of rain is expected in Stillwater later today.

The Sun Devils have not played in poor weather conditions yet this season, but the forecast all week has called for rain so they did practice with wet footballs. Rainy conditions could play a factor in the previously mentioned ASU football kicking woes.

It was 68 degrees at kickoff, with 81% humidity and wind at 12 miles per hour. Storms are in the forecast later today.

Here’s a look at the uniforms for both teams today.

The game can be seen at 12:30 pm MST time on FOX in Arizona (FOX 10) and Oklahoma.

It will be shown on FS2 throughout the rest of the country.

It was originally scheduled to be played at 4 pm MST, but was pushed up because of weather concerns in Oklahoma.
