Andrei Iosivas has breakout game in Kansas City

The Cincinnati Bengals came up just short as they dropped a heartbreaker to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In what was a back-and-forth affair, a major player in Sunday’s game is a player that many in the fanbase have been waiting to see finally have that breakout game.

Andrei Iosivas, a sixth-round pick out of Princeton in the 2023 Draft, stepped into a bigger role today, helping replace Tee Higgins.

He finished the game with two catches for seven yards and two touchdowns.

Although his stat line isn’t absurd, it is more about the two catches being the lone touchdowns the Bengals scored at Arrowhead Stadium this afternoon. To make it even better, they featured some nice playmaking ability on the route and good awareness along the sideline.

Things seem to be trending in the right direction for Higgins to make his season debut in the next few weeks, but at the moment, it looks like Iosivas could have worked his way into some solid rotation minutes in this wide receiver room, especially in the network zone.

There is still a lot of time left in this season. Let’s hope he can continue to build off this performance.
