2 people dead, 2 injured after shooting in Stratford, Ont.

Two people are dead and two are in hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Stratford, Ont. Thursday night.

Police say they received multiple 911 calls for reports of gun shots in the area of ​​Bradshaw Drive and McCarthy Road W., around 10:45 p.m.

When police arrived on scene, they say they found four people with gunshot wounds. Two people died as a result of their injuries and two others were taken by an ORNGE air ambulance to Victoria Hospital in London.

One person has life-threatening injuries and the other has life-altering injuries.

There is no word on ages of the victims, or whether they knew each other. Police say there is no further threat to the public.

The area around Bradshaw Drive will be closed Friday for the investigation. Officers with the Stratford Police Service will be canvassing the area looking for video and witness statements.
