In the rest of the world the situation is a little different: in the United Kingdom, daylight saving time ended last weekend, October 27. And in Australia, where it’s now spring, daylight saving time began a month ago, when clocks were moved forward one hour on October 6 in much of Australia.

The new time change that corresponds to the winter season in the United States will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2024 starting at 2:00 am (local time), in which the clocks must be turned back one hour, so everyone They must mark 1:00 am (according to your schedule in the State where you are located). Therefore, with this modification in the schedule, more light will be generated in the mornings and less in the afternoons.

The states of the United States follow six main time zones, but when inhabited territories are included, the number increases to nine. However, this is a huge improvement over the 144 local time zones the country had before many of them merged in 1883.
