Tennessee football takes a breather from SEC play with Saturday’s game against UTEP at Neyland Stadium.

The Vols (8-2, 5-2) are coming off a 31-17 loss to Georgia last week, putting their SEC title and CFP hopes in doubt.

Tennessee’s CFP hopes, provided it takes care of business on Saturday, will come down to next week’s game at Vanderbilt and help from a couple other teams.

UTEP (2-8) has struggled in first-year coach Scotty Walden’s debut, though it did win in overtime over Kennesaw State two weeks ago before an open date last weekend.
