Badgers news: Game Thread vs. UCF Knights

Fresh off an 87-84 victory over the UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros, the No. 19 Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the UCF Knights to kick off the Greebrier Tip-Off on Friday, with tip-off set for 4:00 pm

The Badgers had an upset scare on Monday just one game after upsetting the Arizona Wildcats, but managed to hold off UT Rio Grande Valley in a back-and-forth game to remain undefeated.

Now standing at 5-0, the Badgers will look to continue their strong start against the UCF Knights, who are also undefeated at 4-0, with a marquee win over the No. 13 Texas A&M Aggies in the season opener.

Wisconsin has looked the part offensively to start the year, averaging 88.2 points per game. Transfer wing John Tonje has led the way with 22.6 points per game, but the Badgers’ trio of starting guards has looked good, aiding an efficient attack.

UCF, on the other hand, has averaged 79.8 points per game, and they have a team full of newcomers, as only two players in their rotation remain from a season ago.

The Badgers will be without transfer guard Camren Hunter, who did not make the trip due to an illness.
