UAH 10 million: court grants bail to former tax official in Kharkiv region

The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a bail of UAH 10 million on the former acting head of the State Tax Service in Kharkiv region, Vasyl Hladchenko, who is suspected of receiving a USD 55,000 bribe. In particular, he was obliged to wear an electronic bracelet. UNN reports this with reference to the HACC.

On Thursday, August 8, the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the motion of the NABU detective and imposed a bail of UAH 10 million on the former official of the Kharkiv Regional State Tax Service

– the statement said.

The suspect also has procedural responsibilities:

  • to appear at the request of the investigator, detective, prosecutor and court;
  • not to leave Kyiv without the permission of the investigator, detective, prosecutor and court;
  • notify the investigator, detective, prosecutor and the court of any change of residence and place of work;
  • refrain from communicating with the persons specified in the investigating judge’s ruling;
  • to deposit his/her passport/passports for traveling abroad, other documents entitling him/her to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine with the relevant state authority;
  • wear an electronic control device.

The term of office is until October 9, 2024 inclusive
