Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are not speaking, their divorce is moving slowly

Things are not friendly between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck …the lines of communication are closed and that makes it difficult to reach a divorce agreement.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ… J Lo and Ben aren’t speaking, either in person or on the phone, and that’s really holding up their divorce.

The frosty relationship between Ben and Jen is really the only thing keeping this from being a quickie divorce… we’re told they have a prenup and the only asset they have to divide is their Beverly Hills mansion, which is for sale.

Our sources say J Lo and Ben have NOT hired lawyers and are instead having everything go through their respective business representatives, who are trying to work out the financial details behind the divorce… but it’s complicated because the managers aren’t talking.

TMZ broke the news… the estranged couple’s Bev Hills property is in the market for 68 million dollars and Ben just closed in their own $20.5 million mansion in Brentwood, while Jen continues to search for a home of her own.

Ben closed escrow on the house. The same day Jennifer turned 55… it’s just a coincidence, but we know there’s no love lost between the two of them.

Ben and J Lo will be hiring divorce attorneys and have told us they will not be filing any paperwork until they come to an agreement. They will file legal papers requesting a divorce, the judge will sign them and that will be it.
