Molly Kearney leaves ‘SNL’ along with co-star Punkie Johnson

“Saturday Night Live” is shaking things up for its historic 50th season… as two fellow cast members have officially left the NBC sketch show.

Molly Kearney took to social media on Friday to announce their departure from ‘SNL,’ after joining the show for the first time in 2022. It’s unclear whether Molly, who was the show’s first nonbinary cast member, left the show on her own terms — but their statement indicated they may not have been invited back.

MK signed his message with a cryptic note… “Head up and heart out.”

Still, Molly remained positive in her farewell, calling the gig a “dream come true” and making it clear that they were grateful for the opportunity. They also praised their co-stars. Marcello Hernandez, Devon Walker and Michael Longfellowwhom they called “the crew of day 1.”

Molly’s announcement comes a day later Punkie Johnson confirmed her departure from ‘SNL’… after previously sharing the news at her July 31 show at Brooklyn’s Union Hall.

According to Punkie, her fourth season on ‘SNL’ would be her last… although she assured her fans that there is “no hard feelings” over her departure.
