Acting Secret Service director says agents didn’t get radio call about Trump shooter

Acting Director of the Secret Service Ronald Rowe is trying to shift some of the blame regarding the Donald Trump attempted murder… claiming that they had not been given key information in advance.

The law enforcement expert addressed the shooting at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, that left one attendee dead and The former president injured — at a new press conference on Friday.

The Secret Service has been criticized for allowing the attack to happen in the first place… with former Director Kimberly Cheatle finally resigned after a tense testimony before Congress.

However, it appears his successor is now attempting to evade full responsibility for the grave oversight — telling reporters that the Secret Service never received a radio call with details about the shooter.

As RR said… there was someone who warned on the radio… Thomas Matthew Crooks having a gun on the roof during the demonstration, but the vital information never reached the officers.

He added: “Our team, our snipers, everyone who was there that day, was operating under the assumption and under the latest information they had received that there was a problem and that the locals were working at 3 o’clock.”

While Rowe said the lack of communication was not the fault of any one person (calling the July 13 shooting a “very stressful situation”), he appeared to shift some of the blame to local authorities.

Cheatle tried a similar tactic in his first interview after the attack — when he told ABC News that local police were in and around the building as TMC fired on Trump and rally attendees.

However, Rowe did not necessarily stand by this rhetoric… as he noted that no one else should be held responsible for “our Secret Service failure.”
