Tom Cruise performs epic stunt to close Paris Olympics and hand over flag to Los Angeles in 2028

Tom Cruise is planning an epic stunt to shut down the Paris Olympics and pass the flag to Los Angeles for the 2028 Games… TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us… that the plan for the upcoming Closing Ceremony involves Tom rappelling down from the top of the Stade de France… landing on the stadium field and carrying the official Olympic flag.

The TV broadcast then cuts to a previously recorded movie… and the first 2 minutes show Tom’s journey on a plane… flying the Olympic flag from France to Los Angeles, where he parachutes down to the Hollywood sign.

The Hollywood sign stunt was actually filmed on a Saturday morning in March, and our sources figured someone would spot Tom in the air, connect the dots, and the story would leak… but his descent went completely unnoticed.

Now there is Photos of Tom on the Hollywood sign since March, but no one has managed to do it in the air… only when they were already on the ground and no one had any idea that this was related to the Olympic Games.

We’re told the film will show Tom passing the flag to other Olympians, including a cyclist, a skater and a volleyball player, as they head to the next host city for the Summer Games.

In paparazzi footage from March, Tom can be seen passing the flag to the first Olympian.

Our sources say the logistics for the stunt portion in France are still being worked out… the closing ceremony is scheduled for August 11th… this is all very complicated, and Tom might have a stunt double do the actual rappelling to kick this whole thing off.

We’re told Tom is the driving force behind all of this… and that he’s actually the one who approached the International Olympic Committee about performing a series of stunts to bridge the Paris and Los Angeles Games.

In fact, Tom has been involved in past Olympic ceremonies… in 2004, he helped Carrying the Torch Through Los Angeles as part of a relay around the world ahead of the Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.
